生命中的美麗時光

第一次聽到這首歌，是在一部極短篇電影裡頭，當時並沒有特別注意到，只覺得，聽起來滿舒服。沒多久，在一個Club，DJ又播了這首歌，club裡頭的人都high翻了；第三次，在一部美國電視影集裡，我再度聽到這首歌，發現這首歌真是紅遍英美，後來我才知道，這首歌這麼紅，當然是有原因的。

連維基百科都有介紹，＜Standing in the way of control＞是The Gossip的成名作，The Gossip是在1999年成立的美國地下樂團，她們被歸類為獨立搖滾/另類搖滾( Indie Rock/Alternative Rock) 。

主唱Bath Ditto在美國政府決定否決同性結婚的權利後，寫下這首歌作為抗爭，Ditto說，「雖然沒有人對於布希這個決定感到太過意外以及驚訝，但是我的朋友都覺得無助以及受到了欺騙」。「我寫下這首歌鼓勵人們不要放棄。對公民運動來說，這是一個令人寒顫的時刻，但我真的相信唯有大家團結一致抗爭，才能生存下去。」

2006年一月發行的專輯名稱就叫做＜standing in the way of control＞，同時也登上英國排行榜的第一名。

順帶一提，因為Standing in the way of...有避免防止...的意思，所以Standing In The Way Of Control 中文意思就是說"避免受到控制"。
